Writing

The same questions run through my work as a psychotherapist, teacher, supervisor, and writer. What shapes a human life? Why can we understand ourselves and still remain caught in ways of living that no longer serve us? What allows something genuinely new to become possible?

In my essays and reflections, I write about psychotherapy, trauma and the body, ancestral inheritance, belonging, expanded states of consciousness, and the relationship between psychological and spiritual life. I am especially interested in the forces at play beyond our awareness and in how they continue to organize the ways we live.

The book follows these concerns through a sustained journey. In shorter pieces, I take up particular aspects of the same questions.
